My Ideal Life
Ava Morgan My Ideal Life

My ideal life would be to get a scholarship at Cambridge University, and graduate with a PhD. After I graduate, I would like to become an environmental lawyer, specifying in wilderness preservation. I would continue to live in England until I think of a reason not to, and I will make my home there. I don’t want to get married right away, and especially not have children right away. I still want to be young and have fun- I don’t want to have a kid to take care of and spend money on when I’m 25! I also want to wait until I know that I am financially stable and capable of supporting myself, before I even think about marriage. I do, however, want to get married; I’ll just be later than everybody else.

Once I know that I am more than adequate for myself, I will start getting into dating. Sure, I’ll have been dating before and I may know who I want to spend my life already, but now I’ll prepare for marriage. I know marriage is a really important action, so I need to be absolutely positive who I’ll marry, because it would kill me to get a divorce and especially if I had children-I would never want to put them through that. During and before the marriage, my partner and I will need to be taking our relationship a lot more seriously- if not already. After I get married, my husband and I will need to decide where we want to live, if we want a house or apartment, if kids, then how many? Etc. I think we need to have everything on the table so there will be no misunderstandings later on, because a simple misunderstanding can lead to something much worse.

Once I am officially married, my husband and I will move into a new house and just get use to everything like living so close to each other, paying bills, our jobs, etc. I do not want to have a child immediately, I want to wait a year or two at least to make sure that my husband and I get along perfectly so we don’t have to go through a divorce while I am pregnant or with a child.

Choosing a life partner is probably one of the most important decisions one could make in their entire lifetime. It could either make one’s life abundantly happy, or exceedingly miserable. Standing at the alter and saying “I do” is probably the easiest part of it. The process before that special day is where it is challenging. “Do I truly love this person?” “Is he/she the right one for me?” These are the usual questions asked by modern couples before they wed. But in the 1800s, when Pride and Prejudice was written, the only question that filled the minds of single men and women was, “Will this person be beneficial to my social and/or financial status?” This is the one of the most significant differences between dating and marriage in the 1800s, and dating and marriage in our contemporary world.…

I have been in a pretty serious relationship. I have been with my girlfriend for three years. When I am done with my four years of college. I plan to try to find a job, well my girlfriend plans to attend PA school. Well I plan to get a job where she is attending PA school so that we can share an apartment and I can help her out paying rent. After thinking about all the terms in this chapter and types of cohabitation, I think that I would classify my type of cohabitation as precursor marriage. If all works out and it is a ways away, We will probably be very close to becoming engaged and I will be wanting to live with her before we get married. So that's what type of cohabitation I think our cohabitation would be under. At the same time it will be an experiment to just how marriage could be, so it's like we could be killing two birds with one stone. From the readings it has helped me understand cohabitating a lot more and the benefits and consequences that can come with…

Most marriages start with a courtship. This is usually approved by parents on both sides. The couple dates for a while, with an engagement expected. The United States Government is set up as a social contract between the people and the government. This social contract allows freedoms in America like nowhere else in the world. In my eyes for me to live the “American Dream” I must serve the country that gives me these freedoms as a citizen. My American Dream is to be a successful person, to me this means being well off financially, having a family, and to serve my country so that others can pursue their American Dream. I close my eyes, take a deep breath, and begin to sing the notes on the page. The music engulfs me and allows me to escape the challenges around me. My heart is open, expressing the powerful words of the song. I look out into the audience and see a man with tears in his eyes. In that moment, we formed a connection through music. I experience a similar connection when conversing with patients. It has become clear to me that music and medicine have many parallels, and music has led me to realize my dream of becoming a physician.…

    My Ideal America

I believe that America should strive to be a country of freedom, equality, and choice. If a person would want to do something that doesn’t harm anyone, then that person would have the freedom to do it. For example, if a person would want to have an abortion, they would be able to have the freedom to choose to have an abortion. However, this is within reason and a person wouldn’t be able to do something that would possibly harm another person. I believe that in a perfect world, America’s government would be there to help the people. The government would provide basic rights to the people such as universal health care. Disadvantaged Americans would receive more help from the government.…

Have you ever thought about how your real life would compare to your perfect life? Seven years ago I actually thought about this. When I was 21 years old I had my first child, a son Jayson Alexander Raney. I was working as a cashier at Food Lion, and my boyfriend was working at Advance Auto Parts. Our home was a two bedroom apartment that we shared with his mother. I knew that we weren’t financially prepared to provide for our son. I enrolled at Robeson Community College in 1998, but dropped out after I completed one semester. If I would have stayed in school, I would have been working as a Registered Nurse for two years before Jayson was born. In my perfect world, my life would be quite different in the areas of work, housing, and money.…
