Movie Analysis: Ant Island
1. At the start of the movie they had scare resources. The ants did not have enough food for majority of the first part of the movie. They have to give most of the resources to the grasshoppers so they can be “protected”. One resource they lack the most was water they didn’t have any rain for majority of the movie.

2. I believe that Ant Island is a full employment at the beginning of the movie. When the bird is being made everyone is working, for example when they made the assembly line, they had people on watch and everyone was working. At the end the island is not at full employment because there is no need for it.

3. The graph at the start of the movie would have food as the main product being produced. As you make your way towards the

After the ants are independent from the Grasshoppers and industrialize some groups that would form are a group in charge of collecting food, a group in charge of the army and then the executive and her court.

5. The drawbacks of concentration in one executive Ant could be if they make the wrong decisions it could cause distress to the nation or be potentially detrimental.

6. Economic development is more important to the ants because they are more worried about not having a debt with the other animals.

7. If Dot took over Ant Island her Blueberries would serve as the Army, especially if it were to grow.

8. If Dot took over Ant Island I don’t think she would turn it into a dictatorship. I believe that Dot would improve the way Ant Island is already run.

9. If you don’t have a good public appearance then the general public won’t like you and it will cause conflict in your nation

10. I don’t agree with Webb’s depiction of the film because I feel like if the ants were able to overthrown their oppressors then they would be able to over throw a queen they didn’t like. Also if they had such an issue with Flick they could have executed him but instead they just adjusted to his ideas and his new ideology of

The Mission was released in 1986 by producers Fernando Ghia and David Puttnam assisted by director Roland Joffé. Some of the actors consisted of Robert De Niro as Rodrigo Mendoza, the main protagonist, and Jeremy Irons as Father Gabriel. The movie, as a whole, I enjoyed very much. The character development in the beginning caught my attention and didn’t leave me constantly drifting off as other films might have. In the movie, Jesuit missionaries are trying to protect a native tribe they had converted to Christianity from Portugal who wanted to enslave the natives for their own use. Rodrigo Mendoza had to go through trials before he accepted his position as a Jesuit priest after he was given the choice by Father Gabriel…

Flik (the main character of the movie) holds intelligence like none of the other ants in the production. He uses his brain as opposed to learned behavior in order to try and assist the colony. His numerous inventions are advanced, yet still unrefined enough to go wrong. The other ants frown upon his differences showing ethnocentrism at it's finest. Within their own culture, Flik is looked down upon.…

There are several reasons why the plural executive model can be considered effective and accountable. First in the way how a plural executive mode is elected. The governor has no intervention in the selection of the personnel of the independent agencies. Second, the way how these independent organizations administer the states. These institutions do not answer to the governor, and they may not run the Governor's same agenda. One can believe that the plural executive model can lead to a more efficient and accountable…

As the crows lay stagnant on the playset, children begin to run away from the school house under the advisement of their teacher, causing the birds to follow in hot pursuit of the children. The movie involved stronger features in its literary elements including plot, characters, and setting. As the film produced substantial differences in both the characters and setting revealed in the short story. A major distinction between the two works is in the characters. In the film, the main characters are Melanie Daniels and Mitch Brenner, who stay together in the town Bodega Bay with a majority of their time spent in Mitch’s mother's home during the attacks on the city. While in the story, the main character is Nat Hocken who focused on protecting his family and home during the Kamikaze attacks from the birds. An additional literary element that generated an impact larger in the film was the setting. The film took place in the small town of Bodega Bay while the story took place in a small town outside of London. In the seminal film and short story, “The Birds”, the film conveyed a deeper and stronger meaning in comparison to the story using setting, characters and plot.…

The ants are enslaved. The ants pick the food, the grasshoppers eat the food. While Flick is more intent on creating inventions in order to make life around the colony easier, he is also clumsy and delays the others from collecting food for the grasshoppers. Dot loves all of Flick’s inventions. Also, important to note, Flick is very inventive, but his clumsiness, we see, nearly kills princess Ada, and causes all “The Offering” to spill into the river.…

When adapting a well-known and loved play into a movie, the adaptor must keep in mind how the audience will react to a new version of a beloved story. An example of this is A Raisin in the Sun, which was adapted into a movie in 2008. Lorraine Hansberry wrote the original play and Paris Qualles adapted that play into a TV movie. The main themes of the story are family, faith, and hope. Following the narrative of a lower-class family living in Chicago in 1959, the play deals with racial tension, family issues, the journey from childhood to adulthood, and how each individual person impacts others around them, within the family unit and out in the world. Some minor issues with the play were resolved in the movie, such as the role of women and how they did not seem to have lives outside of the apartment. The 2008 movie adaptation stayed true to the original framework of the play while enriching the story for a modern audience.…

All in all, I have no criticism for the film. In fact, I believe this film is such that it could be expanded upon to create a full-length feature or at least a more substantial film. But of coure, that requires time and resources that the filmmakers may not have at their disposal. Both the joy and agony of indie films. Phenomenal stories without the restrictions of the studios but also without the funding of the studios.…

The Secret Life of Bees novel and film versions both tell essentially the same basic story. One major theme both the film and novel represented was that imprisonment makes people feel small even when they are much stronger than originally perceived. However, the novel was a better representation of the work’s theme. Even with the fact that the imprisonment theme was presented in both versions, the novel demonstrated this theme in different ways from the film.…
