Question1:   What were some of Apple’s biggest successes and failures? Describe why?

Success
Apple demonstrated leadership in the computer industry just this week with the launch of the new “mini iPad”.   According to CNET News Apple is expected to sell far less mini ipads than with the ipad2 was released earlier this year. Apple has had several other major hits that where game changers for the music and computer world. For example the iMac was first introduced in 1998 and continues to be one of Apple’s biggest success stories.   Apple introduced the 21.5” and 27” iMac in October 2010 and it was difficult to get the quad-core 27” iMac when it first launched.     http://mashable.com/2010/01/27/apple-hits-misses/.  

The music listening game changer was the launch of the iPod. The iPod was introduced in October   2001 with the simple premise of storing 1000 songs in your pocket.   http://mashable.com/2010/01/27/apple-hits-misses/.   The way people listened to music changed from commuters into our cities, to working out at the gym.   When I go to the gym today I see more people listening to their favorite songs or books on their iPhone, iPad or iPod while working out.   When I take the metro into the District most people are listening to music on the iPhone or reading a book on their iPad.   I personally never leave home without both when I have to commute into the District.  

Failures
As with any success stories there are several failures/flops, but instead of Apple letting the failures stop them a moving forward they use them to develop new and better products for it’s loyal customer base.   On of its failures was the Power Mac G4 Cube that promised to the...
