What exactly is déjà vu? Does it really occur?

      Déjà vu is when something seems like it replaying its self or had already happened. It does occur for the most part. I know that I have experience what had to seem like déjà vu to me. i had a dream that i was gonna bein this terrible accident. then about two or three weeks later the nightmare reoccured in real life i was scared to dead. all i can say it the little red car plowed into my green mini van with my family in it. hospitaliized for a week from all the injures. and i still to this day have dreams that reoccur in life but not so serve. deja vu exactly "already seen"; also called "paramnesia," from Greek παρα "para," "near" + μνήμη "mnēmē," "memory") is the experience of feeling sure that one has witnessed or experienced a new situation previously (an individual feels as though an event has already happened or has happened in the near past). The experience of déjà vu is usually accompanied by a compelling sense of familiarity, and also a sense of "eeriness," "strangeness," or "weirdness," The "previous" experience is most frequently attributed to a dream, although in some cases there is a firm sense that the experience "genuinely happened" in the past.
The experience of déjà vu seems to be quite common among adults and children alike; in formal studies, 70% of people report having experienced it at least once.
