Club IT Part Three
Information technology can keep a business of any size competitive and up to date on any business function. As an intern with a major in information systems at Axia College, I hope to help Club IT analyze and address current IT issues facing a nightclub in today technological society. After meeting with the owners and through analysis I hope to help Rueben and Lisa plan and implement a new information technology system. I plan to use Porter’s Competitive Forces Model and show the new nightclub owners how IT can make a business more competitive (Axia College, 2010).
Organization Description and Demographic Information
According to the owners of Club IT their mission is as follows, "We, Ruben and Lisa, offer you live music, DJ's, dance space and refreshments that suit your lifestyle. You are our friends, and we seek to build a community that meets regularly at Club IT." (About Club IT, para.) The staff at Club IT is as follows, one assistant manager, four bartenders, six wait staff, two stewards, two short-order cooks and four security guards. The following demographics will be implied for the club’s target market. The customers that frequent Club IT are anyone in the local community from age 21 and up. Club IT can cater to college students, business professionals, and large groups. Men and women no matter what their income is there is something everyone can afford and have a good time. Club IT can also serve as place to hold receptions or parties of any kind.
Goals and Strategy
The following are the goals set forth for Club IT to implement. Use System Development Life Cycle to manage the process of upgrading Club IT’s new information systems. It is recommended that Club IT also use a Rapid Application Design to aid SDLC.
