Career Development Plan Summary – Restructuring Proposal
The Sales and Marketing department within Kudler Fine Foods will be undergoing a new restructuring strategy. The restructuring will require the creation of five new positions, the establishment of new training programs, new evaluating methods for both the individual and team performances, reviewing the employee’s career development, and deciding upon a fair and appropriate compensation plan. The restructuring strategy will allow the Sales and Marketing department to become a strong force for Kudler and increase our sales and profitability.
The new restructuring will require the creation of four Sales Representative positions and one first-level manager. The job descriptions and qualifications for these positions have been outlined below.
Job Title: Sales Representatives
Tasks:
▪ Listen to and resolve customer complaints regarding services, products, or personnel.
▪ Contact new and existing customers to discuss their needs, and to explain how specific products and services could meet these needs and by emphasizing product features based on the analysis of each customers’ needs and on the technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations.
▪ Develop customized packages of products and processes that meet client needs.
Knowledge:
▪ Sales and marketing - methods for showing, promoting, and selling products and services.
▪ Customer service - knowledge for meeting needs, quality standards, and evaluating customer satisfaction.
▪ Education and training - methods for assisting the customer is developing training programs such as cooking classes, wine tastings, etc.
▪ Food Industry – locating the best deals on products and services that can be offered to our customers.
Skills:
▪ Speaking skills - allowing one to convey information effectively.
