We are the people we know

I believe that everyone has the power to be a bad person. Taking the wrong path down the road of life can end anyone in a hard spot. People are thrown in jail every day for crimes that they really don’t think are wrong. Is this because they aren’t sane? I believe that it is because of their past and that every single person has a future. It may be a darker future or it may be brighter. This all is determined on where you are from, and where you are going. I believe in Tabula Rasa. I believe everyone is born with a blank slate. The moment you pop out of your mother’s womb is the second in which you are influenced by the world. Day after day, night after night, people are influenced by their environment and ultimately the others in which they hang out with. Have you ever been hanging out with a close family friend and they say to you “you know, that’s exactly what your father (or mother) would say”? I feel that everyone is written on; they are affected by one another and the path they take in life. I believe that if one was to grow up in a family of apes that he would only know of how apes live. The physical being of who you are cannot be changed however the attitude and what you think can easily be influenced, and your slate can be written on by every single person you encounter in your life. I do believe people can change. Physically, humans are humans from birth to death. This is not the typical “if I want to be an astronaut my mom says I can be one” situation. This is so that when you are raised in an environment you take what you know about the world and the people that live in it, then you decide for yourself what the right way of life is and how you should actually live it. I believe that when put in a situation people decipher what to do by what they know. They have the instincts of the habitat they grow up in. When I was young I had a best friend named Korey.
