Water Resource Plan
Water pollution in all the Earth’s bodies of water has become one of the world’s most important problems that needs constant attention to be taken care of. 14 billion gallons of sewage and garbage and terrible things are dumped into the world’s oceans every single year. The problem of water pollution affects every living thing, human or not, of this world.
My plan for creating less water pollution is to put together an education program that teaches people that need to be made aware of the environmental repercussions of littering and dumping waste into the waters by our homes or in the city. Also working to alleviate the problem of water pollution will be litter prevention campaigns. Working together with other officials, people will come together to help rid the areas near the water of litter and debris and in doing so will send out the message that we want a cleaner, safer place to live.
There are many preventive steps that we can all take to make sure that our water is cleaner and more pure. When people are out camping, they can clean up after themselves and never throw garbage into the waters. People can work to use less toxic gardening and pest control products. These products do harmful things to the ground, which ultimately ends up in the water that children and animals may end up playing in.
The main thing for the every day Joe to do is just be more conscious of how what you’re doing could be adversely affecting the environment that your own family will be living in for years to come. By helping to keep the water sources clean, you’re not only helping out the community around you but the world.
Things like driving less, taking shorter showers and not over watering your lawn can all help in little ways with the larger overall problem of water depletion.
