Do you remember when you were trilled to startschool for the very first time? The days when you’d always bug your mom, telling her you couldn’t wait to begin!When that day finally came, it was like hearing the ice cream truck rolling down your street; you’d become so excited.
As the year’s progress and we become used to school and get into the routine, the excitement seems to fade away. We begin to realize that school isn’t all about recess and naptime but there is actually a lot of work that needs to be done. These arethe days your mother has to drag you out of bed and kick you out the door.
When you finish elementary school you think to yourself how you are going to get through highschool, big and scary high school. Suddenly there is extra pressure put on you to do well; to succeed. Your parents main concern is now you doing well in high school and moving on to university. They harass you, but who doesn’t like to make their parents proud? So try your best to succeed.
Succeeding in highschool isn’t difficult if you follow a few simple steps. First and foremost you must surround yourself with a good group of friends. Believe it or not friends can make you or break you. Try not to hang out with the slackers or gang bangers. These types of friends tend to rub off on you and the last thing you want to become is a slacker.
Secondly, always try your best to be on time. In highschool each class is typically just one hour long, so you need to be there. Everyday the teacher will teach something new and you don’t want to fall behind. You may also miss out on the little things that count the most, for example the taking up of the previous days homework. Timing is key and you don’t want to waste the little that you have.
