Using Axia’s Educational Resources:
One of the key areas I will need throughout my time with Axia is knowing how to navigate the University Library. I personally will use the library to assist me when completing academic writings. I will use all the databases available to me for researching topics needed to complete my academic writings. Another source of information in the University Library that will assist me is the tutorial features. The tutorials are an excellent survival tool that will assist with the many features of the University Library. I also need to know how to use keywords to assist me when doing research. The use of keywords will help me in narrowing my searches when looking for information to complete academic writings. My personal approach would be to find the word or words that are most relative to the main point of the article and do a keyword search on the web or at the University Library. When doing a web keyword search I need to pay close attention to what information I use because the web is not monitored like the local library. I can also make use of downloading files to my computer or a portable device to assist me at Axia. The most useful way in my opinion to do this is to download files to an Ipod. The ability to download to an Ipod gives me the opportunity to take certain class work with me if I am working out or if I choose to listen to the files at a later time. All of the things mentioned in this section are survival tools that I can put to use on a regular basis to assist us in achieving academic success.

All students in order to survive and make certain they are following guidelines should be familiar with Axia’s academic honesty policy. I must be familiar with this mainly because I need to ensure that I have academic integrity when completing all class work.
