Some people say that smoking in public should be banned. I am for and against smoking in public places. Personally I am not against smoking in public places because everybody knows that smoking is dangerous but yet instead they still do it. I do not think that restaurants that ban smoking get as many customers as the one’s that just don’t care what you do as long as you don’t disturb them and pay for your food. So by banning smoking in public places is not helping anyone. Weed is illegal but people still smoke it! Drinking under 21 is illegal, but there are more teenagers drinking it then adults. Banning smoking is like telling us that we can’t drive our cars because it will cause air pollution which also causes cancer. I mean can you really imagine having to walk every where. I don’t think that it is fair to smokers, my brother Jay told me that they pay their taxes when they buy the cigarettes. I think that a restaurant should not ban smoking but add a smoking section to their restaurant.
However, I may not be against smoking places just, because it’s their right to smoke, but just imagine trying to enjoy your food a McDonalds and there is some women behind you just smoking away. You will not be able to enjoy your food because of all the smoke around you. I think that all restaurants should have a smoking and non- smoking section because second hand smoke cause cancer. I think that if a non smoker has a problem with a smoker smoking then they should leave, because it is that smokers choice to smoke just as it is non- smokers choice not to smoke.
