Maureen held a protest at the sight of what was to become Benny’s Cyber World. Cyber world would leave many homeless and would take away Maureen’s performance space. The theme of Maureen’s protest was cyber world and she used a cow to show how they would be ruining the neighborhood. At the end of the protest she asks everybody to moo with her. When they begin to moo with her the cops come in with their sticks and start hitting everybody to make them move. These people didn’t want to be harmed, nor did they want the police showing such aggression towards them.
Angel, a transgendered woman, died of aids. At his funeral there was a lot of talk about what a wonderful guy and how he never cared what other people thought. Mimi was first up to talk and she said, “Angel went right up to them and said, ‘I’m more of a man than you will ever be and I’m more of a woman than you will ever get.’” Angel thought highly of himself and others despite the aids. Angel is all around a perfect example of the self-esteem function.
Buzz TV offered to but Mark’s footage of Maureen’s protest. Mark gladly accepted, being in need of money to pay Benny rent. They also offered him a job. Joann, Maureen and Mark all went to the station where Mark Never told them yes nor no. Mark goes home to find the door to his building padlocked and reluctantly agrees to work for the tabloid, even though it’s not the kind of job he wanted. Mark Chose his decision very carefully, His decision making turned out to work in his favor.
