                                                  The Saver and the spender

    The world has changed a lot since olden times. Whether it be people themselves, standards of living, technological changes, cultural changes. Today is a whole new ball game than it was back in the day. Every person wants to live a life of riches and luxuries. Live in the best houses, drive the best cars, and wear the best of clothes and the best of foods. This craving of man comes at a price. Not ever person can afford to live a lavish life.   That’s when its time to make the toughest decision if one should spend on something that they really need or something that they don’t. This is where the saver and the spenders come in.

    People who live within their means are most likely the people who save; as for the rest they are lavish spenders. “Should I buy it or not?” “Is it that important to me?” “Can I make do without it?” these are the kinds of question a saver asks him or herself before buying something. People who save are wise when it comes to spending money. They don’t just splurge money cause they have it, they do it only when necessary. On the other hand a person who buy things without analyzing the circumstances are most likely to be the people who are spenders. They do it cause they want to, not cause they have to.

    Growing up I was always told that saving money and being appreciative to whatever we had were signs of being an appropriate person. However talking about money and letting others know about my family’s finances was a big “NO”. Money was to be considered as a sacred thing and had to be giving respect. As any other kid I always wanted to have the best of things whether it is toys, clothes or electronic gadgets. For me there never really was a difference between wanting and needing something. During my teens I believed at the time that everyone had credit cards and always bought what they wanted....
