It took me seventeen years to understand how much my mom has influenced my life. She’ s the kind of person who has tried time after time to have helpful discussions about what I’m going to do after high school and I would just blow her off. The kind of mother who always has time for my little brother, and me the kind of parent who is always doing everything in her will to make sure her kid succeed no matter what. Growing up with such a fine role model, I developed many of her ambitions. From her I not only came to understand the idea of helping others even if they don’t treat you with respect.
My mother’ s interest for helping others is most noticeable in the work she does. I was playing for Guyasuta Football Association when first learned to appreciate my mom’s creativity and eagerness to help with anything I was involved in. While playing with Guyasuta she created a yearbook with all the last year players and coaches for us to have as a keepsake. Everyone was impressed with the book and was telling me how cool my mom was but then I didn’t appreciate what she did like I do now. And more recently she has made numerous efforts to help my senior class raise money even with minor speed bumps in her way her efforts are still relentless, and thanks to her hard work we are going to have are after prom at Dave and Busters.
While I appreciate the countless doors my mother has opened to me in the world, my life has been greatly altered by what she has shown me and taught me every day. As a child, I often accompanied my mother to her job at Letsche or to the YMCA girl groups, in which both she helped misguided youth. While she attended these places, I helped with whatever I could because I liked helping her with whatever she needed done and I just wanted to make her happy. Having sold candy from just attending her girls groups with the YMCA taking in all I could learn from her were all great experiences. It was these various places...
