Colombia has been recognized as a drug country. Colombia export drug to the states, but some of us dont stop and think who consume that drug (Colombian) no. I have so many friends from Colombia here and in the total of 11 none of them use drug. In the other hands I have some Americans friends and some of them use drug. Is Colombia the country we should blame as responsible of drug around the world? Colombia is just exporting this material but who is consuming this product and who is paying for it.
Traffickers started out with much more modest goals. In the mid-1970s, marijuana traffickers in Colombia began exporting small quantities of cocaine to the United States hidden in suitcases. At that point, cocaine could be processed for $1500/kilo in jungle labs and could be sold on the streets of America for as much as $50,000/kilo. An estimated 14.8 million Americans were current users of illicit drugs in 1999, meaning they used an illicit drug at least once during the 30 days prior to being interviewed. Some of us have the wrong idea about Colombia, its true they are the first country exporting drug to United States but is everyone the same here, there are some other things Colombian does for the world. Colombia is fighting this problem for years, but it is working. Is the production reduce not, as long as there are people to pay high quantities for these drug, Colombia will continue exporting drugs to others countries. United States is helping them with money, so they can combat against the drug but in the other hand Colombia has the problem of the guerrillas too. So it make it more difficult because usually the drug dealer pay the guerrilla so they can take care of the place they...
