Mark Twain's Action Quote

Mark Twain has developed many quotes and ideals on his reflection of society and human nature. Though most of his work in American literature, we are able to see new things from Twain’s philosophy. One of Twain’s quotes, “Action speaks louder than words but not nearly as often” shows us a new meaning on the things we do in our daily lives.
To me, words are just words. They don’t really mean anything until you back it up with an action of some sort. You can obviously say something, but just not do it. That’s why action speaks louder than words. No matter what you do, how little or big the action is, it will create a significant change. That is, after all the human nature within us. There is nothing greater than who we are, and what makes us. Of all the things that make us, I’d choose love. It is the most basic but complex human nature.
This is where Mark Twain’s action quote will come into play. People will go to great lengths because of this nature. But when you tell him or her something meaningful, you better mean it. This is where you back it up with action. Words won’t mean anything until you do it. In a sense, it would be exactly like a promise.
For Valentine’s Day, I have gotten my friend a gift that made her day completely. I told her that I would get her a specific gift, but did not believe me. As you can see, the action of me getting the gift spoke louder than words. Within this, it is an example of human nature from what we learned from Mark Twain.
