Book Review – The Last Lecture, by Randy Paush

Who could not know or appreciate The Last Lecture, by Randy Pausch? It is his last good bye to the world, and it is all the things he wants to say before his time will be up. This man tells a speech on how to live a happy life. As, he walks around a podium, he tells you life could be worse and we should enjoy every moment we have. And, if your life is not going the way you want, you can change it.

In the lecture, you will realize, he says these things because he himself is dying from an incurable cancer. Although this does not stop him and it does not slow him down. It is his conquest in life, to complete, to have others see, that there is no reason for regrets in life. We are who we make ourselves to be.

The Last Lecture is a book that will make you think about what you want most out of life: your job, your family, your marriage. It will make you wonder what you would choose to spend your time on if you were told you only had six months to live. Would you ever show up at work again? What would you tell your family? How would you create their last memories of you? .

It is about doing what you want to do and loving it. It is about spending time with the ones who you love. We need to make our moments work while we can, because there is not another chance. He is serious and talks about some things he has accomplished, even the small simple ones may mean more than it seems.

At the end of the book, he shows pictures of his wife and children. He said, "This is why I do this lecture." Then, he turns around and walks away, because it is over. This gives you a feeling of how fast things can be over. It is an impressive lecture, and can be seen on You Tube if you do not have the time to read the book. In only five minutes or so, Randy Pausch...
