It was May 14, 1948, and the Jewish people, who had been scattered throughout the world, had come home to the land where they rightfully belonged. This land was given to them by God; the god of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and their ancestors, until 70 A.D. when the Roman military came in and destroyed the temple, and scattered the Jews. On the sunny morning of the fourteenth of May, in the year 1948, the Jewish people declared the state of Israel their national homeland.
Just a few years before the Jews declared Israel as their homeland, there was one half of a period known as “Jacob’s Trouble”. This first half lasted for seven years, as will the last half. This first half of “Jacob’s Trouble” was called “The Holocaust”. In this infamous period of Jewish history there were over six million Jews massacred and murdered by the German army, under the command of a tyrant named Adolf Hitler. In Poland, there were 3,300,000 Jews living there. 3,000,000 were massacred. In the countries of Germany and Austria, there were 240,000 Jews. Over 200,000 of those Jews were murdered.
Throughout this time in history, there was a strong hatred and anti-Semite spirit over the entire world. Every country the Jews went, they were either thrown out of, or were not allowed

in. The Jews tried to make many countries their center of study and place where they could learn
Judaism, but the countries would just show them the door.
There were many lies spread about the Jewish people. Some of these lies included capturing young Christian children, and using there blood to make matza bread. One other lie that spread around the world was that the Jews had a secret society of Rabbis that had planned to take over the world, and if people could find these Rabbis, then they would stop this plan, but of course they were never found, because that was not true. I think it’s ridiculous how much people have such a strong hatred for the Jewish people.
