The Lives of Jesus and Mohammed

Jesus and Mohammed are well known figures for Christianity and Muslim religions, but like the Bible and Qu’ran state they indeed where real people. The impact that these two men had on the world then and now and on the religions was very strong. Even though Jesus and Mohammed did not live on this world at the same time they had very strong beliefs which lead to them both being worshiped today.

Jesus, born in Bethlehem, Israel about 6BC only lived about 30 years. Although today 30 years seems like such a short time for someone to leave their mark on the world, back then it was plenty of time for Jesus to leave a long history behind. When Jesus was born he spent most of him time as an infant in Egypt then when he was in his youth he soon traveled to Nazareth, Israel. Jesus lived here the remainder of his life; while most of his time was spent as a carpenter he soon began his teachings.

When Jesus was in his thirties and began his teachings and recorded “miracles” and about three years into it, his name because very popular and many people traveled to see him speak and listen to his words. In about 27AD many of his fellow people from Nazareth started to frown on his teachings. During most his life, Jesus was said to have lived a very normal Jewish life but with the tendency to do some things that were frowned upon. The worst of his foolish acts was he had claimed to be God and because this was a direct violation of the Jews he was sentenced to death.

The Jewish religious leaders did not like that Jesus was trying to claim something they were sure he wasn’t, he was tortured and nailed to a cross by his hands for all to see. Three days after his death he was seen by hundreds of people to have risen from his death. Jesus was also to have been seen by these people to travel through Israel from North to South for 40 long days.
