Island Getaway
My ideal house would be simple. The island getaway says it all. Anywhere on the beach would do, just as long as I had some peace and quiet away from the busy city. I love going to the beach, especially early in the morning watching the sun rise, and in the evening time, right before it gets dark. So deciding the location was easy, because there’s only one place I could experience peace and quiet, and actually enjoy living there. Waking up every morning and seeing the beautiful view of the crystal clear coating of water in the ocean as the waves hit sand sounding like a fright train coming through town, and the birds slowly peeking out of their nesting ground.
The view from the front is a typical island paradise home. Sunny colored yellow walls covering two stories, with malachy green shutters on every window, and a brown stained front door. Pulling up you would be welcomed with a great number of lush green palmate palm trees outlining the driveway. As well as, a balcony around the entire first floor of the house, with white pillars on every corner. The only thing missing is an island bay rope hammock to lay on and look at the ocean. Also a garden in the front yard filled with lilies and daisies, and the most exotic and colorful flowers you can possibly think of.
Inside, a guest would be instantly welcomed with the smell of French vanilla lingering the halls. Every room would be a bright color accenting the furniture, and the theme of the room. For example, my bedroom would be inspired by the French culture, including a brass metal bed with a canopy sprawled over the posts on the four corners of my bed, and old antique furniture giving off the romantic, cozy feel. The kitchen would be inspired by Italy, with hand painted art on all the walls, stone flooring, candle's lit, and granite counter tops.
