Mobile phone is more popular device in the modern society. In January 2007, a breakthrough mobile phone device was announced. It is iPhone. Let us to discuss how the iphone was succeeded in this mobile market in Twenty Century.
The iPhone is a mulit-functional multimedia mobile phone designed and marketed by Apple Company. It has a multi-touch screen with virtual keyboard and buttons, but a minimal amount of hardware input. The iPhone's functions include of a camera phone and portable media player that equivalent to the iPod in addition to text messaging and visual voicemail. It also offers Internet services including e-mail (its rich with HTML format), desktop-class web browsing, and local Wi-Fi connectivity. The iPhone also supports Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, delivering push email, calendar, and contacts. And it gives mobile users secure access to corporate resources with Cisco IPSec VPN and wireless network services with WPA2 Enterprise and 802.1X authentication.
Apple announced the iPhone on 9 January 2007. The iPhone was initially introduced in the United States on 29 June 2007 and is in the process of being introduced worldwide. It was named Time magazine's Invention of the Year in 2007. On 11 July 2008, the iPhone 3G will be released which supports faster 3G data speeds and Assisted GPS, though many units worldwide initially failed to activate because Apple’s iTunes servers were overloaded.
