Global Warming caused due to Carbon Emissions and other green house gases poses one of the most serious threats to the international environment ever faced by mankind. Most of us know about the growing global problem and think it must be really a serious problem of the future but what we don’t probably understand is that global warming is happening now. While most of us would like to think that we are not a part of this growing problem, the fact remains that by using non conventional energy sources, high power consuming low lumen output lighting solutions, air conditioners and driving one of the many vehicles on the road we are contributing towards Global Warming. As a result of this, utilizing of alternative or cleaner energy sources is the only way to combat the issue of Global Warming. This essay discusses the major concerns of the Global Environment due to Carbon Emissions and Global Warming, how the use of cleaner, sustainable and renewable energy sources like wind, solar, biomass, geothermal, hybrid vehicles, etc can help in reducing these alarming issues and the economics involved in the use of alternative energy.
