EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This report talks about a new product that has been developed in an Engineering company called “Digital Vision”. It incorporates the formation of a new project team within this company who have designed a new product to be launched into the consumer market.
The product is an advanced optical product with improvements in frames and opticals using the latest technology available today. We aim to provide our customers with the ability to use the “old school” style of product with the convenience of usage for day to day activities. This product will enable customers to use the same pair of glasses, wether it be used for long sighted, short sighted or both and still have the properties of transition lenses. This will be achieved by designing the frame to be able to adjust accordingly between many different focal points.
They will also have advance features, such as self cleaning, self'' repair and fog resistant properties using the nanotechnology properties that are slowly being applied to new products to enhance their performance without the risks involved in laser surgery.
We aim to provide all our customers with the satisfaction and convenience of a new product with limited risks. Our team will consist of personnel from the specific fields related to this product including an Iridologist, Materials Engineer, Nanotechnologist, Quality Controller to provide the best product available in the market in conjunction with a fashion expert, financial personnel and legal personnel used for patenting and other legal advice required during the production and manufacturing of the product.
We have also discussed the objectives we wish to achieve, the risks involved in making this product and the specific roles related to each person in this team and in the project by using a GANTT chart.
