Japanese Geography Report
Japan located in the Northern Hemisphere. It is in the continent of Asia and is to the east of Russia, China and North and South Korea. The size of Japan is not too big, Japan looks like a banana and three independence lands around the banana, that’s what Japan looks like. There are four main islands of Japan, Hokkaido, Honshu, Kyushu and Shikoku. The highest mountain of Japan is named Fuji Mountain and it located near the Pacific coast of central Honshu. The longest river in Japan called Shinano River. It flows from Nagano Prefecture to Niigata Prefecture. The biggest lake of Japan is named Biwa. Lake Biwa located in west-central Honshu, northeast of the former capital city of Kyoto. Sapporo and Hakodate are both located in Hokkaido. Akita, Tottori are both located in Honshu. And Uwajima is located in Shikoku. The capital city of Japan is Tokyo. Horyuji is one of Japan’s oldest temples, its main hall, five storied pagoda and central gate, located in the temple’s Saiin Garan. Himeji Castle is widely considered Japan’s most spectacular castle. Himeji Castle was never destroyed in wars, earthquakes or fires and survives in its original from. Itsukushima Shrine is the cause of Miyajima’s fame and name. Water came from the famous floating torii gate. Hiroshima’s Peace Memorial Park is one of the most prominent features of the city. It’s a really large park of over 120,000 square meters. Its trees, lawns, and walking paths are in stark contrast to the surrounding downtown area. After I did this report, I know the longest river in Japan called Shinano River, the biggest lake called Lake Biwa. Also I didn’t read Japan history that much but know I totally know what those buildings are and how they named like that, the highest mountain Fuji, four main islands, Hokkaido, Honshu, Kyushu, and Shikoku, the five major cities of Japan, Sapporo, Hakodate, Akita, Tottori, and Uwajima, and the capital of Japan Tokyo.
