CHAPTER 1: !
This story begins like many others may, I will not promise you what is to come, only the truth, nothing more. It actually begins with two friends and myself in a coffee shop making an attempt to study, while on the other hand going totally wrong with distractions left and right. It also may be part of the reason why I am writing this incredibly awful and awkward story, but apart from that, I will begin. Thursday, December 4, 2008. 11:49. The “Coffee Shop” is closing so we start packing up our things and heading on over to starbucks. I’m not exactly sure which one though. There’s one across from the University that’s good, lots of girls constantly strutting in and out. Plus it was Thursday, the “pre” party night. Why not head over to where all the action happens. Even though people were studying for finals, it didn’t seem to bother anyone much. Getting drunk was on everyone’s mind, including my own but apart from getting drunk, women were also on my mind. Being single my freshman year made me feel more alone than ever, and it was starting to take the greatest toll on my attitude towards girls. College calls for so much judging, doing things you don’t want to do. As soon as I thought I escaped the high school drama it came back around to chase me, and that just made going home even worse. But back to the main subject, girls were driving me crazy, and my sanity was slowly slipping away.
Showing up to starbucks turned out to be the biggest waste of time, because it also closes at 12:00. And to make things even worse, the shop was right next to a bar. A bunch of nerds trying to get into a coffee shop at 12oclock at night, while at the same time, an event that will change my life was right next door to me.
