I have been dreaming about studying in the US for long time. I know people from France who spent some time there and they seemed to be happy about their US experiences.
For me, going to the US in general and to Stony Brook University in particular can only be a good and rich experience for my future . Below I will present you the main reasons why I believe in this.
The first reason why I would like to attend a US college is to be able to speak very well English. Studying at a US college is the best way for that. Being surrounded by English speakers all the time, and having classes in English, will help me to reach my goal. I know it is not going to be easy at the beginning, but my motivation in adjusting it fast is really high and I am sure the people at Stony Brook University will be really helpful for that.
Beside the fact that I want to learn English, my goal is to emphasize my studies in Business Management as I am interested in working later on in those fields either in France, in the US or anywhere else in the world. I know there are a lot of good colleges in the US, but I know Stony Brook University has a strong business program and a lot of connections through the alumni who have been successful in their professional life after getting their degree there.
After finishing high school in June 2007 and taking a year off with school, I am now getting to a new direction in my life. The college atmosphere in general wherever you go study is a big moment in life but the life in the US campuses in particular is known for being unforgettable. Being from France, I am looking forward to live the US campus experience as it will be for me a great opportunity to meet people from all over the world, get to know other cultures, and become more independent as a person.
