Cheating comes in many forms, plagiarism, and contract cheating, or cheating on an exam. Cheating is constantly increasing; students are finding easier and newer ways to cheat. It has become easier to cheat with modern technology, newer ways of cheating with cell phones, calculators, and organizers are very popular. The study reported that “over 6,000 college students, stated the most popular "punishment" for cheating as reported by students, was for the college faculty to tell the students to keep their eyes on their own paper” (Punyanunt-Carter, Narissa, Carter). Another study in 1992 college students were surveyed and they “rated the most acceptable faculty treatment for dealing with a student cheating on an exam as the faculty talking to the student after class, followed by giving the student a failing grade on that test, allowing the student to retake a different exam, and doing nothing” (Punyanunt-Carter, Narissa, Carter)....
