Report Objectives
The Business Development Manager of this company has requested this report to investigate and analyse the NHS, Oxfam and Ford: organisations with whom this company are engaged on a regular basis.

This report covers various areas within the business environments in which we trade, as follows,
• The Mission of the Organisations
• Influences of the Stakeholders on the Organisations
• The responsibilities of each organisation
• Governmental policies that affect Ford
• Effect of Government policies on the NHS since 1979

Task 1 – Assessing the organisation’s mission
The mission statement sets an organisation’s purpose, guiding values and principles, and the way in which it intends to achieve its objectives, whilst recognising the interests of other stakeholders. All organisations should have a mission statement, to clarify the purpose and general direction of the organisation, and provide a focus for employees to refer to.
The organisations selected each have a Vision or Mission statement, which has been analysed below
Ford Cars
Ford Motor Company Limited manufactures cars throughout the world and has been the UK market leader for 28 consecutive years in an increasingly competitive new car market. Like all major employers, Ford has set values and objectives that have been set out in the following mission statement:-
Our Vision: to become the world's leading company for automotive products and services.
Our Mission: we are a global, diverse family with a proud heritage, passionately committed to providing outstanding products and services.
Our Values: We do the right thing for our people, our environment and our society, but above all for our customers.
This statement looks very broadly at the company’s goals because within a big organisation like Ford, situations change fast, so trying to be definitive on policy would not be helpful. However, their Mission, Vision and Values do show what the company’s aims are.
