Bowling For Columbine

Bowling for Columbine
To begin with, I believe that Bowling for Columbine was a excellent documentry film. There a few of reasons why I believed that this film was excellent. One reason was because of how Micheal Moore wanted to make this film, to prove his point on how gun violence is increasing death rates per year in the United States, and how gun’s are causing more deaths in the U.S than any other country in the world. Micheal Moore’s reason to making this film was to end gun violence and make the world a better place. I believe that Micheal Moore was very sucessful in getting his point across to the audience because of the examples he used and the interviews with the people. There were many scenes in which Micheal Moore made to get his point across. One of my favorite scenes was when Chris rock on stage performed a standup comedy. Micheal used the “bullet control” part of the the standup comedy scene from Chris rock to show that if bullets weren’t so cheap then people couldn’t afford to buy them and use them. Another scene that helped made his point across is when the two kids went with Micheal to Kmart Headquarters to stop selling all the aummunition because of Columbine but instead they ended up buying them all out. Also the only other scenes which I thought helped were the interviews in general, because this showed us what type of people are living in this world today. From what I believe, there weren’t any weaknesses in the movie, but one weakness you could probably say was that Micheal Moore himself wasn’t telling his point of the film straight forward, but he made his audience figure it out, and interpret it themselves. Micheal Moore’s conclusion on why so many people in the U.S. die as a result of gun violence each year is because there is a lot more gun violence in the U.S. than any other country were that the U.S. has the most violent history. The United States has 11,127 amount of deaths per year. I believe that Bowling for Columbine is a awesome,...
