Topic: Atheism is the obvious choice.
General Purpose: To Enlighten.
Specific Purpose: I want the audience to understand the pitfalls of religion.
Thesis: Religion taken literally can be terrible.
Obvious Moral/Political open-mindedness
(while ripping out pages of bible) IF YOU BELIEVE THAT THESE ARE THE WORDS OF YOUR GOD, AND YOUR GOD IS INFALABLE THEN YOU CANT THROW OUT SOME OF THE RULES JUST BECAUSE YOU DON’T LIKE THEM
Christianity is the largest religion worldwide, I’m sure more then a few of you are, or know, a Christian.
I have a list of just a few passages in the bible that one must be made aware of.
God Vs. Slavery
Exodus 21:20-21 If a man beats his male or female slave with a rod and the slave dies as a direct result, he must be punished, but he is not to be punished if the slave gets up after a day or two, since the slave is his property.
God Vs. Women
Ephesians 5:22-24 “Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.”
1st Corinthians 14:34 "Women should be silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak, but should be submissive, as the law also says."
Exodus 21:7 "If a man sells his daughter as a female slave, she is not to go free as the male slaves do.”

Leviticus 20:13 "If a man lie with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them."
