Political Ideology

By definition a conservative favors traditional views and values; tending to oppose change whereas a liberal favors proposals for reform, open to new ideas for progress, and tolerant of the ideas and behavior of others. From these two definitions of each ideology I would fit somewhere in-between the two. I do not completely oppose change because in some situations change is needed but change is not always needed for everything. I believe I am in the moderate area of the political spectrum. I am neither fully a conservative nor am I completely a liberal. Though I do feel I am a little more of a conservative than a liberal but mostly in the middle.
Issues where I would be leaning more towards the liberal side would be abortion, environment and gay marriage. Starting with the issue on abortion I am more pro-choice because I feel in certain situations such as rape or death to have the child would be reasonable situations to have an abortion. Other than special situations where abortion is needed I would be against abortion for anyone else unless there is a dire need for abortion. The issue on the environment I agree that the government should enact laws which would significantly reduce the amount of pollution in the environment. I feel that humans are the major cause for global warming and though there could be aspects of climate changes over periods of time humans are the ones that are contribution to global warming. In terms of gay marriage I support it. I believe that anyone should be able to marry no matter their sexes. If a person if happy being with the same sex then that is their personal choice. I feel that the government should not have control of which ones personal choice is to marry. It is a civil right as an American to be able to choose who you marry.
The issues that I would vote conservative on would be the death penalty, the economy free market, school vouchers, tax cuts and not having...
