Ann Taylor Loft October Date of Visit: October 10, 2008 The colors most prevalent in the store for the October floor set were orange, yellow, brown, green, camel, red, and gray, with blue used as accents colors. As far as prints are concerned there was an abundance of ethnic, floral, plaid, and ombre dyed processes. The use of ruffles, military button detailing, and belts on clothing was found throughout the garment collection. Tweeds, lightweight cotton blends, corduroy, chiffon, and wool were established as fabric trends for the collection. The silhouettes found to trend throughout the collection were cropped jackets, button down shirts, a hem length just above the knee for skirts, flared and bootleg pants, peasant styled tops, creative necklines including squared, boat neck, and scoop, and an overall accentuation on the waist. November Date of Visit: November 9, 2008 The colors most prevalent in the store for the November floor set were purple, fuchsia, black, mustard, gray, ivory, and midnight blue. As far as prints are concerned there was an abundance of painted florals, animal (leopard and zebra), ombre, and plaids. The use of sequins, ruffles, metallic threads, origami detailing were found throughout the garment collection. Lace, chiffon, tweed, satin, pima cotton, polyester, velvet, wool were established as fabric trends for the collection. The silhouettes found to trend throughout the collection were cropped jackets, flutter sleeve dresses and smock dresses, draped cardigans, preppy sweaters, gentlemen tailored vests and trousers, just above the knee length hems, and blocked tops. December Date of Visit: December 7, 2008 For December, the colors most prevalent in the floor set were black, gray, ivory, eggplant purple, and sapphire blue, with some accent pieces in magenta.
