The Wonder Years wrote,” Growing up is never easy. You hold on to things that were. You wonder what's to come. But that night, I think we knew it was time to let go of what had been, and look ahead to what would be. Other days. New days. Days to come.” Growing up is a hard thing to go through and a major step of growing up is going from middle School to high school. The teacher, school, homework, friends, sports, clubs, the people, friends, crushes and so much more. There are big changes and small changes that all make the experience. No matter how much my older brothers, sisters, or my friends, I could never have been completely prepared for high school. No book of advice or voice of wisdom can prepare another for the situations and feelings encountered in high school. I guess I truly never knew tell I entered it and left my middle school years behind.
Middle school is the hardest times in your life. You are growing up, very immature and just trying to fit in and be the “cool” kid on campus. You also start having six different classes with six different teachers. Instead of having a week to do your homework, now you have one, and you are used to a set of vocabulary words and subtraction problems. Now you have science, English essay, two tests tomorrow, and history homework all in one night. You have PE class everyday instead of once a week. The boys are very immature and act out in class and you do not think they have cooties anymore. You are just a kid and nothing else. You still listen to your parents and do what they say. Then as you become a 7th grader you think you are “all that” and start to break the rules. You find your comfort zone and you stay there. You may try new things, for me it was ASB. But for others it’s the dumb mistakes they make and getting in trouble. You are limited to your own decision and in a sense you’re in a jail. No flip flops, no gum, no cell phones, no this no that.
