Summer heat is cause for caution. Drivers must beware of blinding sun and take care to use sunglasses or pull down visors. Hot, humid weather may also cause windshields to fog up. Using air conditioning to maintain comfortable environment for passengers and pets is also often sensible. Parents may also find melted crayons or plastic toys if the car is left in the heat too long. On the other hand, leaving the air conditioning on too long can even cause the car to overheat. Additionally, the temptation to take long drives may lead to driver fatigue. All of these potential hazards mean drivers should be careful driving in the summer.…
Summer vacation has long been associated with sleeping in, lazy days by the pool, hanging out with friends, learning the vocabulary of harmonic motion, constructing cheesy experiments, and graphing data. Summer 2012 will be no exception.…
I want to attend colloege to study business. Growing up, all the successful men I saw were businessmen. I want to own my own business in order to make a lot of money. For about as long as anyone’s been writing anything, the seasons have stood for the same set of meanings. Maybe it's hard-wired into us that spring has to do with childhood and youth, summer with adulthood and romance and fulfillment and passion, autumn with decline and middle age and tiredness but also harvest, winter with old age and resentment and death. (178)…

But I want to think a little about summer. Why do we like it so much and cherish it’s every day? Why does it so much influence our mood? Summer comes every year like an award for the long and cold winter that we’ve managed to withstand. It’s my way of seeing it, of course, you may not agree with me. We like the sun, it’s warm and bright rays that are meeting us every summer morning, we’re fond of sunsets that stay in our memory for long time. It’s great time of camping weekends, holidays on the sea-shore and long evening walks in the city parks. I like that trees and grass are so emerald green, I like azure blue sky and light clouds…
Right off the bat Dillard begins her short essay with a quote that instantaneously brings to our attention the tone of her first paragraph, that she is carefree. She informs us of why she is there that day and what she is doing. The reason is to scare frogs, and is why she was on the edge of that island that summer day. From the very first sentence where she says, “A couple of summers ago I was walking along the edge of the island to see what I could see in the water, and mainly to scare frogs” (Dillard) we quickly get a sense of her tone. The use of the word ‘summer’ automatically makes us feel light-hearted and happy. Summer is a time where everyone is relaxed and easy-going, because for the most part there are no responsibilities that need to be taken care of. Summer evokes a feeling of being carefree. Even just the flow of her opening sentence makes your voice sound upbeat and bounce up and down. The word ‘summer’ also evokes a sense of excitement, not just being carefree. And that word alone sets the foundation of…

Summer is not quite my favorite time of the year, even though I love being out of school and just enjoying my time with the family. Summer for me was great when I was back in High School because I didn’t worry about bills and going to work, all I did was hang out with friends and live life. Now, as an adult my…
A positive feature of summer is being in tune with your senses. For example, smelling fresh cut grass in the morning, bon fires at night and barbeques, that is how you know summer has arrived. One of my favorite moments of summer is in the late night hearing my family around the bon fire laughing reminiscing on life events or strolling down memory lane. And in that moment if I want to tune them out and be in tune with nature I could clearly hear the crickets chirping away and the buzz zapper zapping mosquitoes every few minutes. As for a negative aspect of summer would be going into your car after shopping for 3 hours and feeling the heat rush all over your body, making it worse if you have leather seats burning your thighs and legs. Not a good feeling!…
