What Would You Do If You Won the Lottery
What Would You Do If You Won the Lottery If I won the lottery, the first thing I would do is go to my bank and put the money in my savings and invest it. Then I could add to it and be even, more rich. One thing I wouldn’t do is tell somebody, because they would tell somebody, then everyone would want my money. After I would have put it in the bank, I would spend some of it on a white, GTI Volk’s Wagon. German engineering, you can’t beat it. I think and dream about this car. I would make it look so mean that every other car would fear it. The car has a black grill with a red strip that goes around it. It would look so good with black racing-rims, with red lips on the rims. Second I would by a body kit for it and make it even faster than what they come. Oh my god I can see it know, Riding through town, everyone staring at my gorgeous car and me, of course. One of my favorite things I would do is take it to the street fights and blow everybody’s doors off. Everyone would want to look at my car, ask about my car, and ride in my car. You know what that means; all the girls would want to take a ride in my sexy car. It would be the life for me. Ok I wouldn’t be too self-centered with my money. I would buy my family members and my girl Maggie anything they wanted also, because I wouldn’t be selfish with my money. It would make me feel good inside to buy my friends and family things. Giving feels just as good as receiving, sometimes it feels better. I would do those things to make me feel good about myself. One thing for shore money can be a great thing but it’s not the most important thing in life. Yes, but if you won the lottery life would be pretty simple.

Shirley Jackson effectively develops irony throughout the story. The lottery usually means that someone's going to win something like a bonanza. Also the story was telling us that it was a nice sunny day in the summer. Then the lottery is that if you win you get begged by rocks until you die. The first quote is the morning of june 27th was a clear and sunny, with fresh warmth of a full summer day; the flowers were blossoming profusely and the grass was richly green. it was a nice day they were going to gather for the lottery and was Assuming that someone is going to win money but, it was actually whoever one got hit by stones until they die. My second quote is that tessie…

I have owned a number of vehicles in my lifetime. A couple of new ones, with the new car smell, and all the gizmos and gadgets that make new cars so desirable. I've owned mostly used cars though, and some of them were real beauties, that I hated to get rid of when the time came to part ways. The worst of the lot, the car I felt, that most nearly put me in an early grave, was without a doubt, a 1971 Chevy Vega. The Vega was introduced by Chevrolet in 1970, and was manufactured until 1979. I guess I got one of the really bad ones, that had been either built by dope smoking monkeys, or had been severely abused by its previous owner. Whatever the cause of the maladies that car possessed, they became mine when I purchased it from a tiny, used car lot in Blossom,…

Immediately, when I turned sixteen I woke up in the morning and saw a pair of shinny silver keys sitting on my desk. I jumped up with excitement and rushed out the door wearing only my boxers, with the keys dangling in my hand. There it was: my brand new GMC Envoy, dark hunter green with a wax that could blind you. I stared at the car with excitement and admiration; it was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen, and it was mine. I took it for a test drive around the block and opened it up on the highway only three blocks from my house. It had a V8 under the hood, black leather seats, a Bose sound system and enough horsepower to tow anything I desired. After my first test drive around the neighborhood, I picked up the phone and called my friends. I couldn't wait to show off my new car. With a quick thank you and a hug for my parents, I sprinted out the door. Hearing a faint be careful from my mom in the background, I slammed the front door and raced to my car.…
