WHAT IS THE ASPECT OF ETHICS

WHAT IS ETHICS
Ethics has many meaning and is not an easy word to define. I assume everyone wants to live an ethical life, but now knowing the aspects of ethics is a learning experience for me! That is where the typical phrase “ethical dilemma” comes from. In some situations, there are two contrasting ideas that may seem ethical, but at times it is hard to determine which one is actually the right course of action. There is your way and the right way, most of the time your way is most confortable because it is your decision and you have the right way which is commonly the correct way.

Ethics is also a set of principles of the right conduct and a theory or a system of moral values. It is also the general term for what is often described as the science study of morality. In philosophy, an ethical behavior has many classifications which are good or right. In the Western tradition, ethics is sometimes called moral philosophy. This part of the theory brings together four major branches of philosophy, alongside metaphysics, epistemology, and logic.

Some common ethical dilemmas have little consequence: for example, is it right to tell a lie when someone asks you if they look fat or if their bad tasting dinner is delicious? Do you notice an ethical dilemma there? Which one is most ethical, the lying or being unkind? Most will lie about a person looking good in a dress and saying “No girlfriend! You look beautiful!” when deep down in your heart the outfit or dress looks ugly. Not being honest about the flavor of the food so you don’t insult someone. Of course that person could be your friend or your family member so being untrue seems ethical so you don’t hurt their feelings. Is lying the right thing to do in this case? This is something to think about. Other ethical dilemmas become a bit more complex: for example, is it right to steal from the rich to give to the poor?
