WHAT IS EVIL?

Evil, in a general context, is taken as the absence or complete opposite of that which is ascribed as being good. Often, evil is used to denote profound immorality. In certain religious contexts, evil has been described as a supernatural force.
The word evil can have many different meanings, such as morally bad or wrong, causing ruin, pain or injury, or an evil force, power, or personification. Simply by the definition of evil, one can only have a grasp of what evil is, but only through experience one can understand evil fully. Evil is readily perceived differently among people of certain, religions, races, ages, sexes, and mental prowess, but the underlying factor of evil is always geared toward negative outcomes, either physical or moral.
Evil is when one purposefully causes pain, not pain caused by fault. Evil means knowing something is morally wrong, but still proceeds in doing so. A great misunderstanding about evil is that unintentional harm to some extent is not evil at all. For example if you're driving along a street and you ran over a cat accidentally and killed it, that is not evil. Although being evil is unadmireable, it is necessary because without it there will be no good. How can one define well, without evil? Just as how can you have love without hate? It is just like yin and yang, evil balances out the good in this world. Although I am not glorying evilness, there is always some evil in everybody. Where do we draw the line between evil and good? We can't. The boundary is based on one's opinions, usually dependent on religion, childhood, and mental prowess. In today’s society there is a lot of evils that are going on and happening but people or society don’t seem to be concerned about these things. I’m going to start off with Greed. Most people and researches shows that many of our societies only think of themselves and everything is ‘me, me, me and me’ and don’t think of any damage on top of that it seems like most of the people in our society only care about the money that they are collecting. Secondly, I think drugs are one of our biggest evil in our society because not only adults but teenagers are being very abusive towards this. You see any person now a days dying from this cause or overdose and it has been a problem for years now. Thirdly and lastly the Media is one of our greatest evil. The media as shows, music and many more have manipulated people into changing who they are and being more like them. Celebrities and many singers are advertising a bunch of lies that our society follow. I don’t think there is a lot we can do to help solve this social evil problem but spreading awareness through campaigns could be possible if we tried. It is a combined effort and a bit time taking. The youth have to join hands in hands and have to carry out the programme. Education can also stop social evils as the education is based on good morals and teach students mutual respect, love and fear of God, and team social work for society and community benefits. I don’t believe there is a lot that one person can do to solve the social evil problem. Me as a person who sees all these evils going on around the society it is really hard mostly when people try to push you to do something that isn’t morally right. I think that I can’t do much to fix this society but me as a whole would like to stay faithful to my religion, stay away from drugs and be healthy, I would also like to stay away from greed and ambition and follow what I want to be and not what the media shows me to be and get brained washed by it. I would want to be a morally right person for my future and as for my future children I would like for them to think the same because all morals start at home. I think evil is necessary to define what is good because if we really didn’t have evil then we wouldn’t know what good is. We morally believe that being good is doing a favourable deed for others and ourselves. We know this because being evil is a much more common issue that we see so we can define good as being the opposite of hitting a dog, or throwing the garbage out in the street, we know what is right for us to do but I think more of us need to practice it in order to get a good perspective of what is right.
