Thomas Jefferson's Greatest Inventions
We look back on the great inventions our president of today has made. He is an interesting man, creative, smart, and very different from many people. His inventions have helped us greatly which is also a quirk to him being the best president we have had so far. No one can beat Thomas Jefferson, he is a man of science and a great man of science while we are at it. You should buy some of Jefferson's inventions today! (Some items will be on our ad portion of this newspaper)

Jefferson is our third president of the U.S. He was born in Virginia 1743; born into Elite farming family. His inventions were quite diverse, he invented things of all sorts. Jefferson enjoyed farming and so he built a plough that would dig deeper then the wooden ones that are being used now. His plow had another use which was to prevent soil erosion, which is where the soil would wear away from wind and water. He thought of ways to improve farming since he enjoys it so …show more content…
For those of you do not know what a Cipher Wheel is, it's a wheel that can hold a secret message. To be in more detail, whenever a person would be sent a secret code they can use the Cipher Wheel to decipher the secret message. This is one of Jefferson most famous inventions yet. You can send secret messages on this just in a few easy steps you should by one today!

Thomas has also invented the "Great Clock". The great clock doesn't seem practical but it is a really great invention. The clock told the day and also told the time, through the use of a long chain. Jefferson is currently hanging his clock in his plantation home in Monticello. The gong of the clock was very, very loud so everyone could hear it. It is said that the clock gong can be heard up to 3 miles away. We are not sure we have to see for ourselves. The clock even includes an interior and a an exterior face.     Thomas Jefferson's presidency started with the Revolution of 1800, the first time political parties sent candidates and campaigned. He managed to stabilize and empower the people of the United States during his two terms as president. One of his major accomplishments was cleared the Revolutionary debt the US incurred. He did this by putting his frugal/simple economic plan into effect, reducing the navy to several ships and the army down to small militias. This was one of his 3 main goals at the start of his presidency that he accomplished. He also spent $15 million in acquiring the Louisiana Territory from a war-weary Napoleon Bonaparte. This doubled the size of the US Overnight and he went to work by sending expeditions westward and incorporating the people. This was important because previously, people had simply pushed past the boundary illegally or squatted, thus stabilizing the nation. Jefferson also nixed Adam's and Washington's monarchial lives by not using a horse-drawn carriage or being called "Majesty" and gave more power to the states.
