Artificial intelligence could be created to intentionally or unintentionally kill or harm humans. According to the article, Benefits & Risk of Artificial Intelligence, “If you ask an obedient intelligent car to take you to the airport as fast as possible, it might get you there chased by helicopters and covered in vomit, doing not what you wanted but literally what you asked for (Benefits & Risk of Artificial Intelligence).” So if you do not create the artificial intelligence correctly, it may do things you never wanted it to, such as killing someone else. Like the article, the machine will do all it can to get to the end goal, even if the entire humanity is in its way. If the artificial intelligent machine was advance enough it could become self-aware and would fight for its own survival. As claimed by a Forbes article,“When AI is unleashed, there is nothing that can stop it. No amount of human wrangling can bring in a fully-activated and far-reaching network composed of millions of computers acting with the level of consciousness that's akin to humans. An emotional, reactive machine aware of its own existence could lash out if it were threatened (Adams).” If society were to develop artificial intelligence to a point, there may be no return. Hypothetically, the robot could understand it’s danger and how to stop it at all cost. Moreover, artificial intelligent machines designed to save humanity, could malfunction and may make it worse.
