Oh, you're afraid of the internet; you're afraid of how technology has taken over our lives? Well, many people believe that the internet and advancing technology has benefited our lives. While many wait around for letters to come through "Snail mail", the rest of the world can receive its messages within seconds through email. While some might claim the Internet is chaining us to our devices, causing us to shun human contact, and sometimes sunshine; the Internet has also given us new ways to communicate, learn, and explore the world at large; possibly giving us a better opportunity to enjoy the sunshine.
When teachers give assignments, we mostly do them on the computer. By students using the computer, they naturally have the chance to improve their typing skills. "All of the multitasking online can actually help teens learn to type quickly".(Source 1)Therefore, teenagers need more time on the computer, because in the future they will be using them a lot more. However, if they are playing online games, that's not going to really improve much of their typing skill.
At school, students get projects and essays. By getting that they have to research the information to be able to do the work. "Teens who are motivated to learn new things will be forced to learn better research skills that will stay with them for the rest of their lives".(Source 2) Therefore, as teenagers gets older, they will need to know how to find the information they are looking for.
