Strengths Finder Assesment
Strength is that part of your intellect or nervous system that is more effective and productive than other parts. Throughout your experience of life, your actions or reactions drive different thoughts, behavior and emotion in your brain. The requests that are processed more efficiently and rapidly are known as your strengths. Nowadays, strengths-based approaches to work and life are gaining a lot of popularity and often they are used to improve leadership and create more productive and efficient work teams.
The Strengths Finder is an assessment that measures your real talents. Knowing your best skills and investing time on practicing and developing those talents are the two main ingredients to building and improve your true strengths and shape your performance to perfection. As a result of taking the assessment, the final comprehensive and very practical report shows what are the best five talent themes, or “strengths”, which are identified out of 34 specific themes. The result also includes explanation and association of your themes, gives you recommendations on how to benefit from them and suggest an action plan for setting and achieving your goals. This allows you to recognize and appreciate each of your own strengths as well as those of your team members, employees, employers, and others in your work settings. The author Tom Rath includes strengths finding interviews with succeed people and how they use their strengths in their benefit. This makes the report more vivid and most of the time the reader can see himself or herself in the same or similar situation in life.
Tom Rath, the author of Strengths Finder 2.0, believes that “You cannot be anything you want to be – but you can be a lot more of who you already are” (Rath). This statement emphasizes that based on our exceptional personality you have to focus on the qualities in which you are skilled. Tom Rath also stresses the significance of self-awareness as the main step in becoming a better leader,
