Standardized Test Measure Abilities
How well do you think standardized test measure your abilities? There are plenty of questions of whether or not standardized test can measure your abilities for life, but one answer remains firm in my perspective: Standardized test cannot measure one's achievement in the qualities such as the ability to think critically or someone's human traits that are so important when it comes to real life skills. Therefore, I do not think that a standardized test can measure one's ability. As there are more important things that teachers should be measuring in a student such as, their life goals to be able to achieve in them, how to make it in the real world instead of inserting facts into students minds that will drift away and never be used again by the students and finally by making students take test to determine their future pins the question against them if they can succeed and how could that possibly be right? In the New York times a writer wrote, It's bad enough to require students who are not college-bound to take a test that was intended specifically for those who are. It's even worse -- indeed, a violation of the most rudimentary principles of assessment -- to evaluate all students using an instrument whose primary purpose is to rank test-takers against one another so that by definition everyone can't succeed.” In all concussion school system need to find another way to measure students besides standardized test to help students in every way. People should want the next generation of young adults to be able to have achievements that go beyond the textbook facts that many subjects in school
