I believe athletes should skip college because some it’s their life so it should be their choice. If you were athletic enough to be a professional straight out of high school you wouldn’t want to go to college and risk having an injury that could end your career. So why should all the people athletic enough.
There are many reasons why high school athletes should be able to go straight to the Pros and skip college.Players could have an advantage if they started their professional career early. Plus they would be making money. Some of their skills could benefit since they would be around professional players. They wouldn’t have any practice restrictions so they could improve their game even more. These athletes not going to college would lower the risk of injury for them,playing in college has derailed many promising athlete’s careers. Such as Kevin Ware’s gruesome leg fracture or Willis McGahee receiving a helmet to the knee. If tennis players and golfers are able turn pro early so should basketball players There also are cons of high school athletes skipping college. One year in college isn’t going to do very much for them plus they will have to pay for college so they would be in debt. So why make them do something you wouldn’t want to do if you were in their shoes?
