 Carrefour is an international hypermarket chain that originated in the French territory in the year 1957. Right from the time of its foundation, the company has been on an expansion spree and today has its reach throughout the world. The company has € 108 billion in yearly turnover and a profit of 385 million Euros annually. It holds the distinction of employing 495,000 employees across the globe. and operates 1,530 hypermarkets, supermarkets in over 33 countries worldwide. In addition to that Carrefour is the second-largest retailer and the largest in Europe.
 A market segment is a process of defining a large pool of customer into smaller groups who respond or have similar needs and wants as well as have some demands characteristics. The

strength are internal capabilities which may lead the organization to serve its customer in the best way possible as well as to achieve their goals. Weaknesses are internal factors but not favorable to the company, and it is the best to be realistic at this point and face the unpleasant truth as soon as possible to avoid a negative situation which may affect the company's performance in the long-term. Opportunities are external factors which are favorable and the company may be apple to use as it advantages over it is competitors and develop its external environment. Threats are current and emerging external factors which may challenge the company's performance in the near future or the obstacles of the organization. The object of the (SWOT) analysis is to match the company's strength to attract opportunities that can be fit for the company's operation and to met its objective, at some time eliminating the weaknesses and minimizing threats.
