Reflection On Tuckman's Group Development Stages
Well according to Tuckman’s group development stages it describes the development of a team.it goes from forming, norming, performing and adjourning. Tuckman’s stages honestly helped me understand what our group was going through. When we first formed our group was going through some tension when we were deciding on what we were choosing for our first speech, especially since one of our group members missed the one the first classes. That was then I realized that this wasn’t going to be easy. Then we learned about Tuckman’s group stages which helped me predict what was going to happen with our group in the near future. We went from having lots of conflict to agreeing on most topics and getting the task ahead of us done.

As for the self-centered roles I think I was a dominator because I would be the one that would talk the most during our meetings. Sal I would say was a blocker he would always have an argument for my ideas, but I wouldn’t say he was an aggressive blocker because we would most of the time go with my ideas. Kevin I would say was a loafer because he would always try to come up with an excuse on why not to have meetings. I think tasks would predominate because we would always try to get our task done before we would start messing around. I think the role that was predominate was the dominator because I would be the one that came up with most of our ideas. I think me and Sal assumed the leadership, I would say that I was sort of a leader because I mostly came up with our topics for our speeches. I would try to help everyone in our group find something to about. I would say Sal was a leader too because he would be the one that would talk the most during our group speeches and he would be the one that would ask for help whenever we needed it. I think in our group we were a laissez faire leadership we would make our own decisions and we would share our ideas when it was time to
