Write an analytical essay (minimum 1000-1200 words) on ONE of the following topics.
Notes: all essays must focus on at least one of the novels we have studied. And you are NOT permitted to write about the same text you chose for your in-class essay.

2) Based on the texts we have read, which types of human desires are seen to pose the greatest threat to society? According to the stories, why do such desires have to be regulated?
