Persuasive Essay Censorship
Censorship in terms of media means the prevention or blocking of inappropriate content that the viewer or reader may find offensive. Keeping censorship in the media can affect future generations and current generations for the good. If this inappropriate content were to be released into the public media without restriction, this risks the young viewers’ path in life. These younger viewers will be exposed to vulgar language which makes them disrespectful. Role-models determine the behavior of young viewers, most of which are from the media. The future depends on the generations, why poison their minds and increase the risk of a terrible future for the young? While these results of no censorship are important, vulgar language is more prominent in uncensored media. Research shows that the vulgar language that children possess and use have grown greatly since the 1950’s. This is the result to less censored programs that young viewers watch. With less inappropriate language in media, it is shown that younger views speak more clearly and more professional. This provides the young viewers’ future with job opportunities’. Study’s also say that today’s generation finds if harder to find jobs die to their language. With more vulgar language, comes disrespect. Today’s household is filled with disrespecting children due to uncensored media. Elders find this disrespect downgrading in today’s society. Those who respected elders and others as a child found it easier to find jobs and have people skills. This also gave the better parenting skills compared to those who didn’t have respect for elders as a child. This is all in result of bad role-models displayed in the media. While there is no say in the decision of what type of role-model the generation will choose, censored media can encourage the selection of good role-models.
