Personal Narrative: A Humorous Train
Today is the day we are starting our trip. We have our wagon train ready to go now it's time to leave this crazy city. I have my oxen pulling my prairie schooner everything is going well until I bump into a fancy Conestoga wagon. The wagon wasn't to badly damaged, there was just a scratch, but the owner made me pay him sixty dollars. I almost knocked him out but I didn't want to start off our journey that way. Our first day we had plenty of problems including the little accident earlier we had to dump some of the tools we doubled up on because of an over load issue. I was mad as the dickens because I was looking forward to using those tools. They costed us a pretty penny as well. We made camp after 25 miles for the day. We made a horse shoe …show more content…
All the men on the wagon train undo the nightly corral and we round up all the animals inside the corral. The women of the wagon train fix up a mighty big breakfast so we will have our energy for the day. The pancakes look black with tons of little furry eyes popping out from all the misquotes. We finally make it to Alcove Springs it looks like a friendly place. It was very pretty with the glistening water it is very refreshing. Our wagon train met some friendly travelers who were camping just like us which was nice. All the natives were very friendly but our wagon train as I said is still afraid.

After three days of staying in Alcove Springs fully rested we set off for Fort Kearney. We were moving along platte river for five days everything fine and dandy until I hit a giant rock with my wagon which sent half our stuff in the wagon flying with a big, "clash". I first checked to see if my family was alright, which they were and then I saw the cat who got his tail half chopped of by the trunk crushing it. I decided to chop off the half of the tail that was crushed. As for the wagon, it was just a broken tire. I was lucky another person on the wagon train had a spare I told them I'd pay them

    Railcamp Camp Description

It was the Summer of 2010, I had recently discovered a camp online called "Railcamp" after stumbling upon a video about the camp, this particular camp was hosted by the State of West Virginia's Operation Lifesaver Agency. I have always had an interest in trains since I was very young, I lived right beside a Mainline until when I was around 3 years old. One day, I was browsing on the internet and found a YouTube video about Railcamp. This immediately caught my attention. The camp was supposed to last about a week in late June/Early July. This camp would be full of interesting surprises. The drive to the camp was about 5 hours long and approximately 300 miles. The Camp was located in an unincorporated community called "Cabins", in West Virginia.…

Fortunately it was a foggy morning, and within half an hour the two were out of sight of camp and herd. As Pink had outlined the plans, everything was understood. We were encamped on a nice stream, and instead of trailing along with the herd, lay over for that day. Night came and our hunters failed to return, and the next morning we trailed forward towards the Arkansas River. Just as we went into camp at noon, two horsemen loomed up in sight coming down the trail from above. Every rascal of us knew who they were, and when the two rode up, Pink grew very angry and demanded to know why we had failed to reach the river the day…

Climbing into the lime green car, my fear was over taking me. I was getting ready to ride the Titan, an adrenaline pumping roller coaster ride at Six Flags. It was easily the scariest ride at the park, in my opinion, with its enormous peaks, its deep descents, and double helix like turns was enough to make me sick. The ride began. Ascending up in the car on the canary yellow track, into the humidity filled, bright sky, the people observing from below resembled little army ants . The aerial view of Dallas was breathtaking, as I reached the peak of the ride and looked around. Passengers occupying the cars in front of me started falling off, like a cliff. I let out a high-pitched shrill, as we plummeted toward the Earth below. Traveling…

It was almost halloween, Just a few days away back in 2015, when we decided to go to the haunted railroad. Like any other person would do around halloween to pay a ridiculous amount for people to scare you when you can do it for free, buts that’s not the point. It was my mom, dad, two family friends; Ben, Joe, and of course I was there too. Well, my aunt Lucy and her partner Laura were supposed to go but they were too scared to go, so they just stood in the car and waited for us to come out.…

Today we are crossing the Kansas River to reach Alcone Springs. We still have a long way but it takes about 15 minutes to cross so I thought i would sit down and write about our past 3 days. It cost $1 to use the Pappin Ferry to get across. Our rope has been really good so far and haven't fixed it. On the 19th Grace got a spring cold which I got really worried because i don't know where a General store is ahead and if we run out of medicine right now… it will be bad. Other then that, much hasn't happened besides getting sick. The journey is doing good so far, lots of walking and stopping but what can you do.…

The Fury, the fastest, longest, and tallest rollercoaster on the East Coast. With a top speed of 95 mph and a height of 325 feet makes it the biggest rollercoaster I had ever gotten on, beating the Intimidator 305 by 25 feet. I remember seeing on television and wanting to ride it really badly. It just looked so amazing and since I love rollercoasters and love riding rollercoasters, I knew it was something I had to do. I had ridden lots of rollercoasters before this one such as the Intimidator 305 and the Top Thrill Dragster, which I had enjoyed riding very much, and I figured that the Fury would be just as good. So I asked my parents of we could go to the Carrowinds to ride the Fury. They said yes and we went with my aunt to the Carrowinds.…

The road proved sufficient as the wagons had moved on it with zero trouble and mad it to the North end of Donner Hill. They had cut the road around the North end of Donner Hill and met the “donners” tracks on the south bank of Emigration Creek. As they came around the bend, Salt Lake came into view for everybody. But the group had to backtrack about a mile to avoid marshes and very tall grass at the intersection of parleys, Emigration, and Red Butte Creeks.…

We reach the Dalles before getting the Oregon City. Here we have to Barlow Road around Mt. Hood. We have barely any food left, every animal is near done, and people in our wagon train are starting to get sick. We are also low on money, but we have to pay a toll to go on the Barlow Road. We do not have enough money to pay for this because we need at least a little bit of money to start, so we have to get them to compromise, maybe pay $1.50 and give them one of our nice pans and something that Larry bought from the blacksmith shop. It took some convincing, but they gave in and we got through. Barlow Road is really rough and bumpy. It is knocking our things around and hurting our feet. Our feet are badly, badly blistered. It is so narrow that our wagon barely fits. We cannot walk next to our wagon, we have to either walk…

I headed to my first class which just so happened to be my favorite subject, English. The hallways were very wide but when filled with students I felt like I had to shove my way through just to get to my locker. The lockers were a mixture between Gray and purple. The school colors were supposed to be purple and silver but there was no way that these lockers could be considered. I took a look at the little piece of paper that the lady in the office had given me and tried out the combination on my locker. It took me about five minutes to open it and after struggling for that long I was a little irritated so when it did open, it flew open and slammed into the locker next to mine. I held my breath and hoped that nobody had noticed. I took a long deep breath and slowly opened my eyes again. Luckily I was still standing alone and nobody around was looking at me. I put my extra books and notebooks into the locker and and closed it as quietly as I could.…
