PARAPHRASING
Definition :
Restatement of passage in another form using different words while retaining the original meaning of the passage. citation: paraphrase. (n.d.). Methods :
1. Understand the meaning of original passage.
2. Write a key word or phrase to indicate the subject of your paraphrase.
3. Paraphrasing can be done in few ways use different vocabulary of the same meaning to replace words in the original passage. change the order of words or the structure of the sentence. use different grammar such as changing the active voice sentence to passive voice sentence or vice versa.
4. Check the paraphrased passage with the original passage to ensure that all the essential information is rewrite with the same meaning. citation :

original passage :
Malacca has signed an agreement to sell treated water to Negeri Sembilan to help the state overcome its current water crisis.
The agreement sees Syarikat Air Melaka Bhd (SAMB) supplying 5,000 cubic meter of treated water a day at RM 1.40 per cubic meter to Syarikat Air Negeri Sembilan Sdn Bhd (SAINS).

paraphrased passage :
Malacca gave the consent to offer treated water to Negeri Sembilan as to overcome the existing water crisis in Negeri Sembilan.
In the contract, Syarikat Air Melaka Bhd (SAMB) agreed to give daily supply of 5,000 cubic meter treated water at RM 1.40 for each cubic meter to Syarikat Air Negeri Sembilan Sdn Bhd (SAINS).
