Organ Donor Argumentative Analysis
There has always been a debate between creating a legal market for organs rather than accepting the fact that the black market will always exist. If there had to be a decision made regarding the legalization of organ purchases, my answer would be a definite no. Many people can argue and come up with plenty of reasons as to why it should or should not be legalized but in the end the meaning of an “Organ Donor” would be taken away. Creating a business based on human life would take a complete turn. Many would believe that people would have the ability to decide whether they would like to sell their organ for a good cause, but reasoning would all relate to the profit. Believing that you can decide what you can and can’t do with your body is completely true but every decision would still be narrowed down to income and debt and whether or not you have the money to pay everything off. Even if people were just able to donate straight to those who they care about and are in need of an organ, there would be many factors that would make them contemplate that decision. Getting rid of and living on one kidney leads to serious diseases overtime. People are afraid of the pain and risks of donation, they also may not be able to get by with time away from work and loss of income. A black market would also always exist. In my opinion, unless there are strong beliefs as to why donating should be avoided, everyone should sign up to be an organ donor. I have always felt that being an organ donor would not hurt anyone, especially because it is better to be helpful to another life rather than having nothing done to your body once you pass away. It would also be extremely life changing once modern and future laboratories are able to produce replacement organs. It should be certain that there will be a next wave of manufacturing human
